This Circuit event always seems to turn the page from April to May, and while some teams may be missing a few spring sport athletes or dealing with some injuries, players are still getting some really crucial playing time and learning in the process. Let’s take a look at five young 2025s who you should be looking for on the courts this weekend.
Grace Borys Grace Borys 5'8" | S Notre Dame | 2025 State WI – 2025 – 5’7 – Setter – Notre Dame – FC Elite 15 White
Borys was really sneaky when I saw her at the Champions Cup in February. She knew just when to call her own number and score the point on her own. Borys is also really good at giving her outside hitters a nice high ball to crush. She is going to be a player who I can see making some waves.
With Notre Dame Academy graduating setter Cadence Maxfield Cadence Maxfield 5'8" | S Notre Dame Academy | 2022 State WI , there is a big opportunity for a setter like Borys. She is very thoughtful about her set selection but also a speedy player who has the capability to be a real game changer. Borys is already well on her way, being a player to watch this weekend.
Isabella Pulvermacher Isabella Pulvermacher 5'3" | DS/L Arrowhead | 2025 State WI – 2025 – Libero – Midwest Penguins 15 Black
Pulvermacher is the defender you are going to want to watch this weekend because she is everywhere on the court. She is always on the move as long as the ball is, and her teammates have total confidence when she is behind them. Pulvermacher has fast reactions and doesn’t let anything easy land in her court. She has a strong foundation and fundamentals to keep her team in-system, as well as the ability to read the attackers and make a quick first step. Pulvermacher’s energy and athleticism are something you will notice as soon as you find their court.
Marisa Kruckman Marisa Kruckman OH State WI – 2025 – Outside Hitter – Madison United 15 Red
Kruckman can swing from either pin or take on a big defensive role in the backcourt because she is one of those super athletic players who can play in various positions. She is solid in serve-receive and a strong crucial factor for United’s offense. Kruckman is quick on defense, can react to a block deflection, and isn’t afraid to go all out to keep the ball alive. She also has a strong arm swing and smart placement to use the top of the block or go over and finesse the ball into the deep cross court. Kruckman is going to be a player to watch this weekend and in the future.
McKaylee Stephenson McKaylee Stephenson 5'7" | OH Clintonville | 2025 State WI – 2025 – Outside Hitter – Clintonville – Wisconsin Blaze 15 Black
Stephenson has a really live arm and explosive approach. She is a new face now, but I don’t think she will be for very long. Stephenson is athletic and I’m looking forward to seeing her development over the past couple months.
She has a very strong and steady attack from the pins and provides solid off-blocker defense. Stephenson is fast and isn’t afraid to step in and end a long rally with authority. She is definitely a growing player, and with her quickness and her defensive skills, Stephenson is a potential danger to her opponents.
Megan Anderson Megan Anderson 5'11" | MB Winneconne | 2025 State WI – 2025 – Middle Blocker – Impact 15-National
Anderson is going to be a player to keep an eye on because she has a ton of potential, and I haven’t seen her since the Resolution in January, so I’m looking forward to seeing the progress made over the past 3 months. This middle blocker is very defensive with great timing on her blocks and does a great job lining up with the hitter while also closing the block. Anderson comes up with some big plays that really generate a lot of energy for her team. She is a natural athlete who is quick and can read the other side really well. Anderson frustrates the opposing hitters and will be one you are going to want to watch this weekend.
