Gold pools include HPSTL 16 Royal and the usual suspects in Dynasty 16 Black and KC Power 16-1. Both of the latter teams already own open bids and are perfect through the first two days. Abigail Mullen Abigail Mullen 6'3" | RS Liberty | 2025 State #3 Nation MO has put up a wall defensively. Janelle Green Janelle Green 5'9" | S Blue Valley North | 2024 State #68 Nation KS and Rachel Van Gorp Rachel Van Gorp 5'9" | OH Heritage Christian | 2024 State #94 Nation KS have looked good for Power. HPSTL went 4-2 along the way, including a loss to Dynasty . Grace Killion Grace Killion 5'11" | OH Cor Jesu | 2024 State MO , Sammi Bergjans Sammi Bergjans 5'9" | S Incarnate Word Academy | 2024 State MO , and squad will fight hard on the final day for the open bid.
16 USA
PVA 16 Elite are looking to upgrade their Liberty Bid this morning in the USA Division. A 4-2 weekend put them in the Gold Bracket entering the final day. Gretel Robbins Gretel Robbins 5'11" | RS Pembroke Hill | 2024 State MO and Taryn Marcum will need to have big days to help the team to victory. Mizuno Club North 16-1 and Shockwave 16 Sean will face off in the opening match of bracket play, meaning only one of these HOA teams will advance toward earning the bid. Club North also went 2-1 over the first two days to position themselves. Felicia Wu Felicia Wu 5'6" | S Blue Valley North | 2024 State KS has looked good from the setter position and Avery Ashby Avery Ashby 5'10" | OH St. Pius X | 2024 State MO continues to play well at the net. Shockwave was forced to auto 3 matches on the first day and won all six sets along the way. They came back to go 2-1 on the second day. The team features Hope Duncan Hope Duncan 5'8" | DS/L Smoky Valley | 2024 State KS , Jillian Gregory Jillian Gregory 6'0" | OH Maize South | 2025 State #66 Nation KS , and Camdyn Stucky Camdyn Stucky 6'1" | S Maize South | 2024 State #97 Nation KS who all had strong falls for their high school programs.
16 Liberty
6 Heart of America Region teams and 1 Gateway will be among the teams looking to grab a Liberty bid on the last day. At the top of the bracket is Mizuno Club North 16-2. They are 4-2 on the weekend. They open with one of the two teams they lost to in SWMNVB. Alexis Kemp and Katelynn Young have been big. Mavs KC 16-3 and Invasion 16 Black will face off in a 9 am battle to see who will advance. Invasion has only suffered one loss in the tournament, while Mavs enter the last day with a 4-2 record. Tamales 16-1 are 5-1, with their one defeat being a close three-setter.
HPSTL 16 Orange and Dynasty 16 Gray will go at it in an opening match to see who advances to face another local team in Missouri Juniors 16-M. The three teams are a combined 13-5. Missouri Juniors did knock off Dynasty Gray in an earlier pool play match.
16 American
We have a handful of teams still plugging away for the lone American bid on the last day. Rockwood Thunder 16 Carolina, Invasion 16 Blue, KC Challenge 16-1, and KNVBC 16-1 Shazam. They are a combined 25-2.
