A lot of the analysis has come from watching these players in person. We have also been watching the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone’s recruiting profiles in order to determine placement. We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be added to the rankings due to their individual performances.
Kaylin Daniels Kaylin Daniels 6'0" | MB William P. Clements | 2023 State TX [2023] 6-0 Middle (HS: Clements/Club: Houston Juniors /Verbal: Uncommitted)
We are proud to announce that Kaylin has been added the rankings and is listed as the 63rd best overall prospect in the 2023 class according to the Prep Dig State Rankings list. She plays for Clements High School and also for the Houston Juniors club program. Miss Daniels has great court vision when she is blocking. This allows her to anticipate where the setter will deliver her ball to and Kaylin seems to be in the right spot to shut down opposing attackers more often than not. Her upper body is very strong and it definitely helps when she is sealing the net from high-level hitters. She keeps her hands very high when using her step-hop footwork and this helps with her timing while blocking. She is able to hit both a thirty-one and a fifty-one to the deep corners, which keep her scoring pretty efficient. Please congratulate her on being named one of the top players in the state of Texas.
Kennesen Johnson Kennesen Johnson 5'9" | OH McKinney Boyd | 2023 State TX [2023] 5-9 Outside (HS: McKinney Boyd/Club: Drive Nation/Verbal: Uncommitted)
We are proud to announce that Kennesen has been added the rankings and is listed as the 65th best overall prospect in the 2023 class according to the Prep Dig State Rankings list. She plays for McKinney Boyd High School and also for the Drive Nation club program. I have seen this young lady in action a few times this club season and she is spectacular. Her high-flying attacking is something that most spectators will enjoy. She rises up off of the ground very quickly with her fast-twitch lower body muscles. We think she has a lot of potential and can play at the next level as both an outside attacker and/or a defensive specialist. She is a six-rotation outside who has excellent ball control skills in every aspect of the game. Her serve receive skills are definitely elite in my opinion and are for sure one of the biggest reasons why her team qualified for nationals. We are proud to have her in the rankings and will be writing more in her as we watch her again later this summer at nationals. Please help us congratulate her on being named one of the top players in the state.
Kitana Tuufuli Kitana Tuufuli 6'1" | OH Steele | 2023 State TX [2023] 6-1 Outside (HS: Steele/Club: SA Magic/Verbal: Uncommitted)
We are proud to announce that Kitana has been added the rankings and is listed as the 69th best overall prospect in the 2023 class according to the Prep Dig State Rankings list. She plays high school volleyball at Steele High School and club for San Antonio Magic volleyball club. We profiled her earlier this year and here is what we stated, “This is the third time I have seen her now this season and she has wowed me every single time. She is a very calm player that looks very relaxed on the court like she has been there before. This is definitely due to the fact that she has been playing up in age groups for a majority of her young junior club career. I love how she is ready to bang on any ball near her zone. She can really bring the heat with her attacks. She more than doubled her kill total from her sophomore season to her junior season at Steele and will likely be the “go to” hitter for them during her senior season. She is surrounded by a great cast of players on her club team and has a fantastic setter to feed her. But, she is one of their primary weapons on offense and had many college coaches turning their heads this past weekend. We will for sure be watching her progress for the rest of this club season.” It was only a matter of time for her to make the list. I have been watching her very closely this year and she has stayed consistently at the top of my list of players to add to the rankings. Her abilities are elite and we will be covering her again when we see her compete with her awesome squad at nationals this summer. Please congratulate her on being named one of the top players in the state of Texas.
