The Magnificat product saw some action at the varsity level in 2021. She helps comprise good depth for this team that will return in the fall. She is an active middle and gets herself involved well when she has her opportunities in her zone. She has good footwork and spacing to create room to swing and can approach from multiple attack points. More foot speed and lift off the floor increases her productivity going forward.

Culp has definitely improved her offensive skills as the quality of her arm work and contact has increased speed and versatility to terminate from all locations across the net. At 5’9, her athleticism is a huge asset as a middle. She gets off the floor quickly and can generate aggressive range and power in the air. This rate of progress is indicative of the type of impact athlete she has potential to become over the course of her prep career.

She has a good skill foundation offensively and uses good vision to make plays to the open court. Her size at 6’0 benefits her on both sides of the ball and as she becomes quicker and more fluid in her footwork she will increase the rate of her productivity and presence in the middle phase of the game.

As a middle, Burton is utilized by her OPVC team in a variety of ways, from serving and passing and as an attacker through quicker options and at times on the pin. At 6’0, the development of this well-rounded skill set early in her prep career will benefit her over the years. She transitions well to get herself available to swing and has good movement to find hitters on the defensive side and get her hands up in their way.
