Emily Clausen Emily Clausen 6'0" | MB Catholic Memorial | 2023 State WI – 2023 – 6’0 – Middle Blocker – Catholic Memorial – Milwaukee Sting 17 Gold
This middle blocker is a solid and well-rounded blocker with an impressive and booming swing on the ball. If she has another season like she did this past fall, Clausen could hit the 1,000-kill milestone while also potentially getting 200 blocks. Clausen is effective and can read the court with understanding the movement and location of the ball. She’s attentive, efficient, athletic, and knows how to get the job done.
Rachel Koss Rachel Koss 5'11" | S Freedom | 2023 State WI – 2023 – 5’11 – Setter – Freedom – FC Elite 17 Navy
Koss is a solid setter, but what makes her stand out is her ability to show dedication in the big matches and she knows how to light a competitive fire just when her team needs it. She has been consistently improving at a steady rate and I think she is one who will continue progressing the longer she plays. Koss is an efficient and thoughtful setter who reads the opposing blockers, strategizes, and knows how to find the hot hand.
Rachel Rossing Rachel Rossing 5'9" | S Lake Country Lutheran | 2023 State WI – 5’7 – Setter – Lake Country Lutheran – Milwaukee Sting 17 Black
If you are looking for a scrappy, gritty, smart setter, then Rossing is your girl. She has sound fundamentals, reads the court extremely well, and will push, pull, or drag her squad to the finish line if need be. Rossing has the athleticism and mindset of an elite athlete and the experience competing at a high level with a state contender Lake Country Lutheran and national competing club Milwaukee Sting. She is a player who has flown under the radar for way too long, and I can’t imagine it will last much longer with the additional exposure.
Ryleigh Zeller Ryleigh Zeller 5'5" | DS/L Wisconsin Lutheran | 2023 State WI – 5’5 – Libero – Wisconsin Lutheran – Motion 17 Blue
Zeller is an extremely dynamic player on the court and it shows in her overall gameplay. She is a formidable defender who challenges opposing attackers. She’s quick and has the capability to read attackers and the path of the ball which gives her an advantage to setting the tone with the first contact. This past fall she recorded 291 digs as a defensive specialist. At the Gauntlet, make sure to look out for Zeller and Motion taking on 1st Alliance 17 Gold in pool play to get the weekend started.
