15s
We start first in the 15 Premier Division with Team Momentum 15 Navy who are 3-3 and also an even 8-8 in sets played after two days. They went 1-2 on the first day before bouncing back to go 2-1 on the second day. In the Club Division, HTC 15-1 out of Missouri is having a good showing to start the tournament. They were perfect on day 1. They followed it up with a solid day 2 going 2-1 to stay in championship contention. In 15 Spirit, Adidas Dynasty 16 Gray are in position sitting at 6-0 representing the state of Kansas. They’ve dropped one set out of 13.
17s
In 17 Open, H2 STL 17 Under Armour is the lone Missouri representative and they got off to a rough start sitting at 1-5. MOVA UA 17 Gold traveled to take part in the Club Division. They sit 4-2 after the first couple of days. They also went on to win the all-important one set to 15 tie-breaker. They won their first 4 matches of the tournament before losing consecutive matches to force the one-set play-in. STL Crossfire 17 P1 is also competing in the Club Division and is 5-1. They were perfect on the second afternoon after a 2-1 first day.
Missouri is represented in the Premier Division with 417 Juniors 14-1, Mizuno Club North 17-1, and Team Momentum 17 Navy. 417 started hot winning their first 4 before dropping a three-set match in their 5th contest. They bounced back well to get their 5th win of the tournament. Regan Baade, Claire Esther Claire Esther 6'0" | MB Republic | 2023 State MO , and Sophia Gardner will look to lead the team into day 3. Club North has a 4-2 record entering day 3. They went 2-1 on both days behind the play of Sanoma Hunter Sanoma Hunter 6'0" | MB Van Horn | 2023 State MO and Katherine Hargroves. Team Momentum has been playing tough but has only been able to scrape out one win in the first two days. Phoenix Dean Phoenix Dean 5'10" | OH Hillsboro | 2023 State MO and Avery Stanfill Avery Stanfill 5'8" | DS/L Westminster Christian | 2023 State MO will try to right the ship on day 3.
