Continue ReadingThe culminating event for the CEVA season is the Regional tournament. All teams participating in CEVA Power League compete for their final standing of the season. For this series, we will be spotlighting athletes from teams that finished in the top 20 for the 18U/16U division who were nominated by their club coach, or a club coach from another team.
Without further ado, here are the 2025 attackers that had stellar performances.
Mylee Blake Mylee Blake 6'1" | OH West Albany | 2025 State OR , 6’0”, OH, Siuslaw High School, North Pacific Juniors 15-1 National

Blake is one of the outside hitters for the NPJ 15-1 National team. Her coach praised her for really stepping up at Regionals. As a top attacking performer, her hitting efficiency was much higher than it has been in past tournaments. Blake was a go-to attacker and was absolutely terminal no matter where she was attacking from.
Nyah Doan-Mitchell, 5’10”, OH, North Eugene High School, North Pacific Juniors 15-1 National

Doan-Mitchell is one of the outside hitters for the NPJ 15-1 National team. The team relied on her heavily to put the ball away, which resulted in her leading the team in number of kills over Regionals. An explosive hitter, Doan-Mitchell was unstoppable on the left pin.
Sydney Dreves, 5’11”, OH, Columbia River High School, Oregon Juniors Volleyball Academy 16-1 Gold

Dreves is one of the outside hitters for the OJVA 16-1 Gold team, and the only 2025 on the roster. Don’t let her age fool you as she carried the offensive load all weekend against top 2024s. A top outside hitter in the 16U division, she hits everything from anywhere on the court. She is diligent on out-of-system plays, always in the mentality of attacking the ball. An incredibly skilled all-around player, she is a true six-rotation outside hitter that can do it all. Her coach commended her spectacular play and noted Dreves was a major factor in the team’s #1 finish at Regionals.
Addie Emerson Addie Emerson 5'9" | RS Valley Catholic | 2025 State OR , 5’9”, RS/OH, Athena Volleyball Academy 16-1 Gold, Valley Catholic High School

Emerson received a nod from another coach for her standout play for the Athena 15-1 Gold team. A dominant right-side attacker for the team, she is dished out a lot of sets given just how deadly her attack is. A leftie, she thrives on the right pin. She is explosive, with a fast arm swing.
Cheyanne Green, 6’1”, MB, Pleasant Hill High School, Webfoot 16-1 Brian

Green received a nod from an opposing coach for her stellar play. A starting middle blocker, she is unstoppable when she connects with the ball. Long and lanky, she is a high reach on the attack and hits a multitude of angles. Green is also a formidable blocker.
