Depending on the division in which a player plays, they are not always at the forefront of being seen. Each division has athletes who work hard at perfecting their position in hopes of some type of recognition. The GJNC is a place where skills can be seen and teamwork can be showcased in the Open, National, USA, Liberty, American, Freedom, and Patriot divisions. It’s an opportunity for each team to medal in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd spot of the division they are playing in. The best of the best are prepared to shine. Here are some superstars on 15s premier playing in Patriot!
Teila Hill (2025) |5’5/S/DS| Oak Hills HS/RVVC 15P
Teila Hill is a setter who commands the court. She has very smooth hands that make her sets look effortless. There is little to no spin on her ball. She can set where her hitters ask and that makes it easier for them to score. Her dumps catch the opponents off guard. Telia hustles and moves quickly to the ball making her able to set OH, middle and backset. She can also block on the right side. Hill is not afraid to get on the floor and doesn’t hesitate to dive after a ball. She has an unpredictable float serve that gives her team an advantage because they curve or just drop down. Hill makes good decisions on the court.
Makenna Tillman (2025) |5’8 OH/MB| Citrus Valley HS/RVVC 15P
Makenna Tillman started her club career as an MB and transitioned into a pin hitter. She is great at defense, never being afraid to lay out for a ball. She is an explosive player who has a powerful hit and an accurate pass. Tillman can play all 6 rotations. She is a solid server with an extended reach on defense and can kill the ball across the net on offense. Tillman can score up front and back row along with digging balls that are expected to hit the floor. Her court awareness can be seen through her communication on the court.
Kate Meyers (2025) |5’5 S/DS| Norco HS/RVVC 15P
Kate Meyers has incredible speed, determination, and great communication skills which makes for a great setter. She can get a ball from all sides of the court. Meyers is an excellent defensive player. She can handle balls that are almost impossible to defend. She has a very high IQ on the court and she’s good at getting balls off the net. Her hustle on the court makes her fun to watch. She can set many balls that are called into play from any area of the court. Her sets are smooth and usually perfectly placed for her hitters to score.
Morgan Wilson (2025) |5’6 S/OPPO| Arrowhead Christian Academy/RVVC 15P
Morgan Wilson is a 5’6 setter and right-side player. She has the speed to get to a ball and can adjust very well from the transition of the setter to the hitter. She has a strong hit and can place the ball in different areas of the court. Wilson has certain attributes that make her a great player on the right side. She is fast, she has good hands, she can pass and she can block.
Adrienne Magdaleno (2025) |5’4 L| Cajon HS/RVVC 15P
Adrienne Magdaleno is a 5’4 libero who is aggressive on the court and is often ready for the pass, free ball, or dig. She can bump set the pin hitters if the setter cannot get to the ball in time. Magdaleno is capable of covering a large area of the court when passing the ball during serve receive. The more court she covers allows her outside hitters to focus on scoring.
Camryn Daniels (2025) |5’11 MB| Chino Hills HS/RVVC 15P
Camryn Daniels is a strong and aggressive middle blocker. She has a very powerful hit and can score in her position. She can block a ball from an opponent or she can slow the ball down with touches that help the back row. Daniels has strong hands and good vision for blocking the ball. Her height and strength are important attributes to the position she plays. She is capable of backing off the net quickly and getting ready for a quick set.
