Continue ReadingOne thing we know about all team sports is one player cannot do it alone. Each player contributes to the game and the outcome. Win together as a team, finish together as a team. That togetherness is what led to an impressive PVL (Premier Volleyball League) finish for Forza1 North 14UA. Coached under the guidance of Morgan Coberly, Patricia Zarate, and Dani McCree Forza1 North 14UA finished 1st in the PVL Championship and 2nd overall, double qualified in Open for Nationals, 2nd in the Southern, CA region, and are currently ranked 6th in the nation out of 5,160 14s teams. Four of their starters played up this season. The 14s play in Indiana June 27-30th. Here are six Forza1 North players surely to make an impact.
Ryah Brock (2027) |5’10/OH| Playing Up/ Forza1 North 14UA
Ryah Brock is 5’10, 13 years old, and an OH. Her determination, confidence, and work ethic are what make her a fierce player on the court. There is a lot of strength behind her connection to the ball. Brock is quick on her feet, can jump high and most of all adjust to different situations.
Emerson Newton (2026) |5’11 MB| Santiago HS/ Forza1 North 14UA
Emerson Newton is an experienced middle blocker. A strong suit of hers in that position is being able to tip into strategic areas of the court. Another strength of Newton’s is being able to hit in the blocking seam. She also has strong hands to stuff the ball back to her opponent.
Wesleya Ruiz (2026) |5’3/DS/S| Beaumont HS/ Forza1 North 14UA
Wesleya Ruiz is in her 7th year of playing club volleyball. She is a very smart and experienced player who excels in serve receive. Her favorite part of the game is a strategy and exposing her opponents, especially with her serves. Ruiz has quick reflexes and is not afraid to dive and dig for any ball she can reach.
Rylee Dale (2026) |5’8 OH/OPPO| Roosevelt HS/ Forza1 North 14UA
Rylee Dale is a very strong hitter. She is capable of making key plays. Dale is quick enough to get up on the block and score with her defense.
Olivia Bliss (2026) |5’4 DS| Rancho HS/Forza1 North14UA
Olivia Bliss has been playing volleyball since she was six years old. Her key strength is serving. Bliss can read the court and serve in strategic locations at key points in a match.
Rylan Vlasich (2026) |5’5 DS| Claremont HS/Forza1 North 14UA
Rylan Vlasich is an enthusiastic defender with great court awareness. Her passing and digging skills along with serve receive are what make her a great defensive specialist. Her serves are consistent and accurate. She’s not afraid to get on the ground to save a ball.
