JVA Summerfest Watch-List: 16 Open

<p class="p1">We're coming down to the wire. A few more weeks and we're in the midst of the cumulation of the 22 club season and nationals!</p> <p class="p1">We still have a stop in Columbus for a lot of teams, as a last minute tune up before prepping for the end of June!</p> <p class="p1">Coming in hot to the 2022 JVA Summerfest in Columbus, here are some players to watch in the 16 Open.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="110331" first="Karlie" last="Vogelheim"] - 6'0 MB - L2</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="110331" first="Karlie" last="Vogelheim"] has been shifting into a whole new gear as of late. In her last two tournaments with L2, the middle has shown off her versatility being called upon to play in both the middle and the right side. [player_tooltip player_id="110318" first="Carley" last="Piercefield"] is a dynamic libero that carries a huge load for FaR Out as a receiver and a defender. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="139280" first="Alec" last="Rothe"] - 6'3 OH/MB - EliteVBTC</p> <p>One of the hottest names in the 2024 class nationally, [player_tooltip player_id="139280" first="Alec" last="Rothe"] always knows how to put on a show. She's been coming into her own this season as a pin attacker and her history as a middle equips Rothe with a huge range of attacks across the net and out of the back row. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="176600" first="Kate" last="Maley"] - 6'0 MB/OPP - Legacy</p> <p>Legacy has been looking for the perfect compliment in the middle alongside [player_tooltip player_id="110282" first="Mallory" last="Bohl"] and I think they've found something with [player_tooltip player_id="176600" first="Kate" last="Maley"]. <a href="https://prepdig.com/2022/05/legacy-has-dominant-weekend-in-the-open-at-ix-center/">At The Open,</a> Maley got the starting call in the middle and more than delivered, holding down the spot ever since.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="139286" first="Becca" last="Wright"] - 6'5 OPP - Mintonette</p> <p>Standing tall and proud at 6'5, [player_tooltip player_id="139286" first="Becca" last="Wright"] is a force to be reckoned with on the right side. With her high reach, Wright can tower over an opposing block and bring down some serious lightning. She's not only an elite wing spiker, but her block is quite imposing for left side attackers.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="107423" first="Alivia" last="Skidmore"] - 5'10 OH - NKYVC</p> <p>An undersized, high flying dandy, [player_tooltip player_id="107423" first="Alivia" last="Skidmore"] will be flying into Columbus this weekend. She may very well be one of the best jumpers in the field of attackers, holding her own against her taller counterparts. A full six rotation player, Skidmore is the complete package.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="110486" first="Morgan" last="Gaerte"] - 6'4 OH - Team Pineapple</p> <p>She's coming in hot! [player_tooltip player_id="110486" first="Morgan" last="Gaerte"] is one of the premier wing spikers in the 2024 class and she'll be showcasing it all in Columbus. At the net, she is imposing and oozes physicality. Leading this dangerous team is middle blocker Meghan Clifford. A treat to watch in action, Clifford is a mechanically sound blocker with a great read for her opponents offense. When it comes to her own offense, Clifford is not to be stopped.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="196509" first="Ava" last="Kanj"] - 6'2 MB - Maverick</p> <p>Let's add another top shelf middle blocker to the list, because there's a lot of them. [player_tooltip player_id="196509" first="Ava" last="Kanj"] is another elite blocker coming into Columbus with a lot of heat.
