Player: Elizabeth Andrew Elizabeth Andrew 6'5" | MB Ridgefield | 2024 State #6 Nation WA
Club: Athena Volleyball Academy
Position: MB
Height: 6’5”
Class: 2024
High School: Ridgefield
As the #8 recruit for the class of 2024 nationally, it is no surprise that Andrew takes on a major offensive load for the Athena 16-1 Gold team as their starting middle blocker. She is formidable and lethal at the net, with an insane blocking reach, balls do not get by her often. Teams have to work around her blocking presence at the net, or they will be in major trouble. Attacking, she moves quickly in transition which is especially impressive given that she stands at 6’5”. She has the ability to hit any set given to her but loves to run the quick and bang it in front of the 10-foot line. Andrew was a force to be reckoned with during the 16 Open finals and was a definite contributor to their team’s success in taking home the trophy.
Player: Maya Quitiquit
Club: Puget Sound Volleyball Academy 15-1 Navy
Position: S/RS
Height: 5’6”
Class: 2026
High School: Kennedy Catholic
Quitiquit plays well beyond her years for the PS 15-1 Navy team as their primary setter. A 2026 athlete playing on a team of 2025s, and competing against primarily 2024s in 16 Open, you would not guess that Quitiquit is just now entering into her high school career. She can confidently run and 5-1 or a 6-2, staying in to attack as a right side. Her scrappy play and all-out defense in right back kept her team in rallies. She had excellent set choice selection, setting her hot hitters and attempting to set against the grain in hopes that it would allow a single blocker for her attackers. Quitiquit is definitely a player to watch over the coming years and is well on her way to being a top setter out of the state of Washington. Her play was vital in the team advancing to the 16 Open finals, and taking Athena 16-1 Gold to three sets.
