Bolles is another athlete who made a big impact at USAV Nationals and earned herself a spot on the 17 Open All-Tournament Team. She has a strong fundamental skill set in all six rotations, and she can swing away from either pin. Bolles has speedy transition footwork off the net and is super smooth and efficient out of serve-receive. She has great elevation, and she can take a heavy swing on the ball while remaining very balanced. She reads the other side of the net very well and is patient when blocking, so that she can react quickly and time her blocking to keep pressure on the opposing attackers.Committed to Michigan State Vital Volleyball ‘ last=”] 18-1 team at their National competition, making an impressive deep tournament run. Berger is athletic, skilled, and a strong leader as she plays with confidence. She knows how to make big plays and foster relationships with her attackers from pin to pin. I think her senior year will be a really fun one to watch in both high school and club.
Berger has a proven track record to take teams deep into tournaments. Last fall she helped take Eden Prairie deep in the Class AAAA Tournament while earning All-State honors. She took that experience with her and provided fantastic contributions to herCommitted to Concordia-St. PaulrnChrist is making her way up the ranking after verbally committing to Concordia St. Paul, who took 3rd in the competitive Northern Sub Conference and finished 7th in the final AVCA D2 poll in 2021. I was already excited to see what the Golden Bears were going to accomplish with the likes of Cassie and Ellie Sieling joining in 2022, and now with the addition of Christ, this could be a powerhouse in the near future. Christ is strong, energetic, and just keeps getting better. She has quick footwork which benefits her on both pins, and when you combine that with her ability to elevate, she really has a high ceiling. She has a great reach and can swing with a range of shots.
Crimmons is a quick and athletic defender and continues to develop her skills and accumulate experience competing at a high level. She is savvy and smart to read the play unfolding on the other side of the net, as well as anticipating the alternative offensive options like the setter dump or the off-speed rollshot or tip. Crimmons has good spacial awareness, and you should keep an eye on her as she returns to her East Ridge team in the fall after earning AAU Club All Star recognition.
Highlights
Wachholz is a strong 6-rotation player and being a lefty may get her automatically put into the opposites category, but I’ve found more often lately that there are some lefties that thrive on the left pin. She is quick off the floor as an attacker and blocker and her athleticism and versatility are constantly demonstrated through her ability to score at will on either pin. Wachholz can hit different tempos, but she is really good if you just put the ball up and let her be an athlete. She also excels in ball control with her speed, as well as her tracking skills to get to the first contact. It is no wonder she has garnered Class A All-State, Class A All-Tournament Team, and USAV 17 National All Tournament Team all in the span of 8 months.
