There are some talented players and among the are some legit liberos holding together the backcourt for their teams. Below we will dive into 5 liberos from the North Texas area, and explain why they should be on your radar.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2>Makenna Dillow - Azel</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Makenna Dillow </strong>just surpassed 2,000 career digs, and she is about to hit 1,000 this season alone. Makenna is obviously doing a great job on the back row for Azel in middle back. She seems to always be in the right place at the right time, and we can attribute this to her great reading ability. She also covers her hitters very well, even from the middle back position. She moves seamlessly across the floor, from coverage to defense to serve receive. She plays for Texas Pistols Volleyball Club and is not currently committed. She would be a steal on the back row for any program. Not only is she a libero, but she can get up and swing with the best of them. She took on this libero position recently and has been really fitting into the role well. She is averaging 15 digs per match right now for Southlake Carroll. She is very versatile on the back row and plays both left and middle back very well. She uses her length to play tips easily, really works her angles back to the center of the court, and has a beautiful out-of-system set. She played up with Drive Nation this past club season, and this really improved her reaction time and speed. She has amassed over 700 digs so far this season and is one of the leaders in the state. Her ability to cover 60% of the court back there is what is leading to her success. She moves well within her 60% range and reads setter dump very well. She doesn't often get beat in the backcourt. She plays for Joshua high school which is 5A. Peyton is a legit libero that plays out of left-back. Her ability to pass a really tough angle is incredible, and she's not afraid to take a hard-driven ball down the line either. Her reaction time is very fast, and she covers a lot of the court on defense. Addi will do whatever it takes to get the ball up, using her platform, her hands, or one-armed diving save. She just set a 500 dig milestone for this season and has been a solid rock for Timber Creek.
