It was a strong finish to the 2017 high school season for Lincoln Pius X pin hitter Anna McLain of VCNebraska and the 5'10 junior has carried that over into the club season. Her performance so far in 2018 has led several schools to express interest in her.

McLain had at least 14 kills in each of the Thunderbolts' final five matches of the year - including 21 in the district final match against Kearney. She finished the high school season with 285 kills while hitting .281 and also had 31 blocks. Now, McLain would like to find a college home sometime in the next three to four months.

"I am going on visit my top five in the next month and am looking to make a decision before nationals," McLain said. "In a college, I am looking for proximity to a semi-large city as I will be studying business. I want a smaller to mid-size school that has a strong business program. For volleyball, I want a coach that I can really connect to with a program that will allow me to develop more as I just moved to right side."

McLain listed her top five as (alphabetically) Gannon
