Michigan Elite, Unified, FIVE1 and other programs also had standout performances in their respective divisions. Here’s a breakdown of how the state of Michigan performed last weekend.
18 Open: Legacy 18-Elite continue their amazing start to the 2019 club season by winning their second consecutive out-of-state Open title. Legacy went 14-0 in sets over seven matches, topping Asics KIVA 18 Red 25-17, 25-23 in the final. Asics has been near the top of many 18 Club national rankings.
16 Open: Michigan Elite 16 Mizuno went 5-1 for the weekend and finished tied for fifth.
15 Open: Legacy 15-Elite reached the semifinals of the division before losing to Lions 15-1, 25-14, 27-25. Michigan Elite 15 Mizuno finished tied for fifth.
14 Open: Legacy 14-Elite finished second on the weekend, overcoming some tough three-set matches along the way. They fell to Asics KIVA 14 Red in the final, 25-16, 25-22.
18 Premier: FIVE1 VBC 18-Adidas reached the semifinals before falling in three sets to CVC 18 Black.
17 Premier: Legacy 17-National took home the championship with an 8-0 match record and 16-0 set record. Legacy defeated Prime Time 17 Blue in the final, 25-16, 25-23. Michigan Elite 17 Elite East and Unified 17-1 both finished tied for fifth.
16 Premier: Legacy 16-National and Michigan Elite 16 Elite West both reached the semifinals before bowling out.
15 Premier: Unified 15-1 finished tied for fifth.
14 Premier: Legacy 14-National finished tied for fifth
18 Club: High Street 18 Smack claimed the championship with an 8-0 record on the weekend. High Street topped Club Unite 17/18 Select in the final, 25-14, 25-23.
17 Club: Attack VBC 17 U Black and High Street 17 Hawaiian both finished tied for fifth.
17 Club Red: FIVE1 VBC 17-Blue finished in fifth place.
14 Club Blue: FIVE1 VBC 14-Blue finished tied for fifth on the weekend.
