With those run changes, that makes the month of March a big one with some schools wanting to make sure that they can get some early commits from the Class of 2021 and Class of 2022. Karissa Kaminski of Howards Grove High School and FC Elite 15 Navy, a Class of 2022 prospect and the number three ranked player out of Wisconsin, recently gave her verbal commit to play for Dayton University. Who will be next to give their verbal with big tournaments such as Blue Grass, Colorado Crossroads, MEQ, and other qualifiers going on across the nation? Here are some athletes who have been highly sought after and will fall into this category.

Macy Daufeldt – Iowa Rockets 15 R – Class of 2022 – Outside Hitter
I was able to see Daufeldt play at the Windy City Power League and with her ability to swing and score points from any front row position really makes her a versatile threat. Above all, her athleticism is what makes her a top prospect for schools at the next level. She can play defense, her vertical and approach is one of the best, and ability to adjust to score big points is a big bonus. She is the type of player who can light up a gym with her spark, she will definitely have plenty of eyes on her court the next month.

Lizzie Binder – Milwaukee Sting 16 Gold – Class of 2021 – Outside Hitter
Binder has been on the radar since her 14s year. A six rotation outside who can play on either pin, Binder can serve receive and pass as well. A high IQ as well, she is trained with great fundamentals, stands at 6’2, and is extremely versatile as well. Sting will have a big month ahead with Blue Grass, Windy City Power League, MEQ, and JVA World Challenge. Big events where Sting will be looking to build off of their top eight finish at Triple Crown in Kansas City.
Absolutely loooved watching @MadiKubik play, but Hayden Kubik is not the future, but the NOW! Having such a strong tournament for @CISvolleyball pic.twitter.com/g2VkCKVUFl

Hayden Kubik – CIS 15M – Class of 2022 – Outside Hitter
The Kubik family has been through the recruiting process before with Madi Kubik, who is from the Class of 2019 and has enrolled early at semester to get started on her college career at Nebraska. Madi and Hayden were key members of the West Des Moines Valley state semifinal team this past fall. However, over Presidents Day it was Hayden’s time to shine at Triple Crown as CIS went on to make the championship in one of the toughest tournaments in the country. With coaches across the country on her court, Hayden showed how she can score points from any rotation, lead her teammates with positive body language, and be a gamechanger defensively at the net and in the backrow.

Julia Hansen – Northern Lights 15-1 – Class of 2022 – Outside Hitter
Over Presidents Day weekend in Omaha, Northern Lights 15-1 had some power five conference coaches on their court with a team loaded with future D1 players. However, there is something exciting about Hansen that will be a great fit at the next level. At 5’10, she plays well above the net with a high contact point, it’s just different. As her game continues to develop all around she will be the type that can put her team on her back and get 7 kills a set with her ability to find different ways to score points.
Kaitlyn Riley – Milwaukee Sting 16 Gold – Class of 2021 – Middle Blocker
Riley has been bursting onto the scene and has offers from Maryland and Marquette. The 6’1 middle blocker is extremely dynamic and fast with a really high touch. She will team up with Binder and Sting 16 Gold to have a big upcoming month. With the recent exposure she will continue to get more looks. Getting a middle with the athleticism of Riley is definitely a great get at the next level.
Kendal Kemp – MN Select 16-1 – Class of 2022 – Middle Blocker
Kemp plays up on the MN Select 16-1 team that has the makings of a few future Division 1 players with Skylar already committing to Minnesota, Jasmine Weidemann setting, and Sophie Jesewitz on the pin. Kemp is a 6’5 middle who can run a variety of routes to score points. Strong and physical she can really get across the net with her hands to get a touch on a swing and really alter the shot of the opposing team from pin to pin. She definitely has the makings of being a power conference recruit.
Julia Bishop – Michigan Elite Mizuno 16-1 – Class of 2021 – Setter
Bishop is the top setter coming out of the Class of 2021 in the state of Michigan. With great footwork and the ability to be neutral to keep the defense off balance, Bishop just finds a way to get the ball to the open hitter. She has a similar style to Brooke Mosher, the top setter in the Class of 2021 from the state of Wisconsin and is committed to Illinois. Bishop will lead a balanced offense into a big month to come with JVA Worlds along with MEQ, Windy City, and the Northern Lights Qualifier.
