The team is Division 1 and competes in the Greater Metro Conference, a tough conference as they match up against other big volleyball schools such as DSHA, Hamilton, and Germantown.
Key Returners for 2019:
McKenna Wucherer (Prep Dig Rank #1) is the name to know at Brookfield Central. She will be a sophomore this year and is committed to the University of Minnesota. McKenna is currently playing for the USA at the high-performance championships and was recently awarded All American in the 16 Open division of USA Nationals. Her volleyball resume is already stacked, but it is clear this is just the start for this talented athlete.
Fellow outside hitter Maddie Weyker (Prep Dig Rank #44, Committed to Bemidji State) is a force to be reckoned with. She is fast, smart and can pound a ball. She will be an incoming senior and provide leadership and consistency for her fellow teammates.
Morgan Daugherty (Prep Dig Rank #12) is an all-around great athlete. She has a huge impact on the pins as well as the middle. Morgan will be going into her sophomore year at Central and is sure to make a splash. She was named an All American in the 15 Open division of AAU Nationals.
Tatum Kebisek (Prep Dig Rank #20) is another incoming sophomore with a lot to bring this team. She is a setter by training but has a powerful serve and is great on defense as well. Tatum works hard, sees the court well, and is a leader on the court.
Isabella Ledezma is a senior pin hitter who has a lot of power. She has experience on her side and knows how to make a play. Isabella is a fierce competitor who is sure to be a leader on this team this coming year.
Other players to watch include senior middle hitter Abby Wucherer (Prep Dig Rank #77), senior libero/defensive specialist Kelsey Brunner, and junior libero/defensive specialist Cat Uczen.
The team has a stacked schedule this season including the Joust and the Sprawl tournaments. They will match up against some of the best teams in the state throughout their season and work to make it far into the state tournament.
