Allison Wiese, Sr. Mattawan – The lone libero to be a Miss Volleyball finalist this year, Wiese (Hillsdale College) will be a key piece to Mattawan’s hopes to win this weekend. She is going to face a lot of big hitters on Saturday, but Wiese has proven to be able to handle the pressure and keep the Wildcats in-system.
Olivia Kowalkowski, Jr. Notre Dame Prep – The foundation of the Irish defense for the past three years, Kowalkowski is as steady as they come. A leader for a young Irish team, Kowalkowski has played in a lot of pressure matches over her varsity career and that will come in handy this weekend.
Maddi MaleckiMaddi Malecki, Jr. Farmington Hills Mercy – The Marlins have a seemingly unmatched offense, but don’t sleep on their defense either. Malecki does a great job in the back row to keep Mercy’s well-oiled machine running. She is accustomed to facing big hitters as well, so she won’t be intimidated by this deep pool of powerful arms.
Emma Hall, Jr. Lowell – Like Malecki, Hall can get overlooked at times because the Red Arrows have some impressive attacks. But, Hall has been the unsung hero of this team and if the Red Arrows are going to make a run at the title, Hall will be the reason why. This could be her coming out party on Saturday.
Kelby Goldschmeding, Jr. Schoolcraft – The Eagles have been able to remain atop the Division 3 rankings all year due to their impressive passing. Goldschmeding is the rock of that Schoolcraft back row and provides the team with a lot of juice in big sets. She was impressive competing against the Grand Rapids Christian attack earlier this year and should be excited to test her skills in this deep field.
