Prospects To Watch
Morgan Daugherty – Brookfield Central – Class of 2022
Daugherty is the top middle blocker in the Class of 2022. She can attack off one foot and is a major presence at the net defensively with her ability to touch high, press across the net, and move from pin to pin. Brookfield Central will have a major target on their back, but this weekend will give them a chance to see some new opponents out of their area.
Elle Truckenbrod – Kettle Moraine Lutheran – Class of 2021
Josie Halbleib setting for SP.Solid six rotation outside who has an aggressive approach and the ability to terminate from multiple front row positions. KML started the year with some injuries and were adjusting to new roles after some big losses to graduation, but recently the Chargers have been picking up some big momentum at just the right time. Truckenbrod brings an athleticism that is tough to match to the outside position.
Josie Halbleib – Sun Prairie – Class of 2021
One of the top available prospects in the Class of 2021, Halbleib is long, athletic, and can score points on her own or dish to the outside as a 6’2, left handed setter. Sun Prairie has a high powered offense where Halbleib is the quarterback but isn’t afraid to take a big swing on the second contact.
Brooke Clement – Bay Port – Class of 2020
Clement may be one of the strongest athletes I’ve seen so far this season. A six rotation outside who brings a ton of energy and intensity to the court. Bay Port has one loss on the season which was to Pewaukee at the Appleton East Invite. Clement along with fellow pin Alyssa Koska will be a key part tot he Pirates success this past weekend. The Pirates will be ready for a big challenge that could have potential implications on sectional seeding in a couple weeks.
Carlee Doering – Kimberly – Class of 2020
Doering brings a high IQ as a middle where she is able to read, adjust, and position herself in a good position to score points defensively with her block. She sees the court extremely well and knows what it takes to play at a high level. Kimberly had a tough weekend at the West Bend Sprawl, but will have a big opportunity to bounce back with a big match against Appleton North Thursday night, followed by the Neenah Invite Saturday.
