Fresh off competing in the KHSAA Volleyball State Tournament, Henderson County senior Brooke Springer (MB/OPP/RS) is set to sign with the University of Evansville.
Signing with the University of Evansville will afford Springer an opportunity to attend college close to home in neighboring Indiana.
A versatile volleyball player, Springer is scheduled to sign with the University of Evansville on Monday, Nov. 18 at 5 p.m. in the Henderson County High School Cafeteria.
Springer, who was honored as an All-2nd Region selection in late-October, helped to lead Henderson County to the KHSAA Volleyball State Tournament. Henderson County knocked off University Heights 3-2 (25-21, 22-25, 13-25, 25-14, 15-8) in the 2nd Region title match.
Greenwood eliminated Henderson County in the opening round of the KHSAA Volleyball State Tournament, prevailing 3-0 (25-11, 25-18, 25-13). Following the loss to Greenwood, Henderson County exited the 2019 season 23-13.
Springer, who has played multiple positions throughout her prep volleyball career, committed to the University of Evansville prior to the start of her senior season at Henderson County High School.
Evansville competes in the Missouri Valley Conference, along with UNI, Loyola, Bradley, Illinois State, Valparaiso, Missouri State, Southern Illinois, Indiana State and Drake.
