Rough was one of eight Assumption seniors to sign to play volleyball at the next level on National Signing Day.
As a senior, Rough contributed during Assumption’s latest state championship run.
Thomas More competes in the Mid-South Conference (MSC). Lindsey Wilson is the reigning MSC Champion. In addition to Thomas More and Lindsey Wilson, the MSC features Georgetown, Cumberland (Tenn.), Life, Cumberlands (Ky.), Campbellsville, Shawnee State and Pikeville.
Assumption shut out rival Mercy 3-0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-18) in the 2019 KHSAA Volleyball State Tournament title match. The Rockets have captured three straight KHSAA volleyball state championships. Currently, Assumption graduates from several classes are competing for college volleyball programs on multiple levels.
Along with Rough, Assumption’s Natalie Ackermann (Lindsey Wilson College), Anna DeBeer (University of Louisville), Claire Fuller (Jacksonville State University), Katie McKune (Eastern Kentucky University), Chloe Mingus (Middle Tennessee State University), Savannah Neal (United States Air Force Academy) and Rylee Rader (Ohio State University) signed with college volleyball programs.
