First Alliance 18 – Silver
Journey Barsh, 5’10, MH, Homewood-Flossmoor,
This will be a good test for Journey and First Alliance, as they will face teams from Michigan, Minnesota, and Ohio in their pool. Quickness in transition and being able to block the big middles will be key.
Adversity – 18 Adidas
Sarah Griffith, 2020, 6’1, MH/RS, Jones Prep
Coming off a disappointing season at Jones Prep, it will be fun to watch Sarah play with the bigs of the Adversir=ty Adidas Team. Look for teams from Indiana, Wisconsin, and California to attempt to stop Adversity from winning the pool.
Michio – 18 National
Miara Bolden, 2020, 5’11, MH, Homewood-Flossmoor
Miara adds a quality middle attack to the Michio National program. Other teams in their opening pool include teams from the Garden Empire, Lakeshore and North Country Region.
Sky High – 18 Adidas Black
Josie Schmittendorf, 2020, 5’6, L, Huntley, Eastern Kentucky University
An under-covered libero, Josie has great courts sense and passes great out of serve receive. Josie and Sky High will face teams from the Badger and Hoosier regions, respectively.
Sky High – 18 Adidas Black
Ella Ruder, 2020, 5’9, L, Belvidere,
After watching her play, Ella plays with a heart and intensity that anyone would be happy to play with. Sky High brings a great 1-2 libero punch to this pool.
