The eighth graders competing in the 2020 club volleyball season will have an opportunity to build momentum for their freshman campaigns at various high schools in the fall. Kentucky club volleyball teams feature numerous talented young players, several of whom will be on the floor for high school varsity and junior varsity teams teams later in the year.
Here are 10 eighth graders on the rise.
Avarie Adams: A 6-1 eighth grade middle hitter, Adams is a student-athlete from Holy Trinity School. Adams is competing for KIVA 14 Red.
Camila Adams: A 5-8 eighth grade opposite hitter/defensive specialist, Camila Adams is a student-athlete from St. John Paul II Academy. Camila Adams is competing for Union Asics 14-1.
Brooklyn Campisano: A 5-7 eighth grade defensive specialist, Campisano is a student-athlete from St. Edward School. Campisano is competing for KIVA 14 Red.
Catherine Carlos: A 5-9 eighth grade middle hitter, Carlos is a student-athlete from Hayes Middle School. Carlos is competing for Lexington United 44 Adidas.
Caroline Holbrook: A 5-9 outside hitter, Holbrook is a student-athlete from Christ the King School. Holbrook is competing for Lexington United 14 Adidas.
Macy Lentz: A 5-10 eighth grade setter, Lentz is a student-athlete from Christian Academy of Louisville. Lentz is competing for KIVA 14 Red.
