#5 Anna Loberg, 5’9″, S, Geneva HS, Fusion Red 17,
The junior setter from Geneva High School, Anna plays great defense and has great footwork! She sees plenty of action for the WCPL #1 seed Fusion Red 17 team. played a pivotal role in their three-set defeat of #4 Adversity G18 Adidas on Saturday.
#2 Leilani Dodson, 2020 MH, Nazareth Academy,
Adversity
Adidas G18, Brigham Young
Literally tearing up the court is Leilani who looks better than ever. The ___ Middle hitter headed to Brigham Young missed her senior season due to illness, but has bounced back and is playing at the top of her game! No one put up a bigger block or a harder hit than Leilani this past weekend.
#22, Amai Owolabi, 2020, RS, Mother McAuley, 1st Alliance 18 Silver, Embry Riddle
A mobile and quick opposite, Amai can get the kill down before the block closes. She’s not afraid to hit through the biggest defenders and has a willingness to [lay big. A great player on this strong 1st Alliance Silver 18 team.
#10, Madison Arundel, 2020, 5’10, OH, Marist, Michio G18 National, Ferris State
Madison is a big hitter and a player with a lot of heart. She helped Marist to a third straight state tournament this past season. She has a heavy arm and plays with competitiveness not seen in many athletes. I’ve watched her quite a bit this past season and she always impresses me. Ferris State should feel lucky to have her.
#36, Mairead Boyle, 2020, 5’6, L, Marist, Michio G18 National, Western Michigan
Mairead was an unsung hero on the Marist team in 2019, until she missed the state tournament, where she was severely missed. Solid passer with great court sense and mentality, she’s going to help Michio to the top of the league. There are a few junior liberos that get more press than her, but Mairead does her job without much fanfare but great professionalism.
#37, Elizabeth Sandt, 2020, 5’11, OH, Nazareth, 1st Alliance 18 Silver
Playing a significant role during Nazareth Academy’s run at States, Elizabeth comes into the game as an intense leader. She was a player they would go to when a kill was needed. In a team of all-stars, she is still the one on the court to count on to make the great play!. An extremely talented back-row player as well.
