The Heights 14U team finished runner-up in the Frosty Classic at the Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex Hopkinsville on Saturday, Jan. 25. Excelling early in the 2020 club season, Heights 14U produced numerous highlights during the event at the Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex Hopkinsville.
The Heights 14U team features several players from the Hopkinsville area. The 14U team is made up of the following players: Claire Chewning, Suzie Comperry, Evelyn Cotthoff, Emily Davis, Maddie Meacham, Olivia Oakley, Sarah Peebles, Margaret Rinehart, Julia Thomas, Lainey Walker. Many members of the squad are expected to make early impacts for the University Heights Academy volleyball program in the 2020 high school volleyball season.
The Cupid Classic will feature multiple club volleyball teams from throughout Western Kentucky. Several cities and areas will be represented throughout the Cupid Classic. The early-season event will serve as a tough test for many of the club volleyball teams.
The host site of the Cupid Classic, McCracken County High School, is home to the reigning Kentucky High School Athletic Association 1st Region champion.
The Heights 14U team will compete in a bracket with WKVC 14, AVA Tsunami 13 and WKVC 13. Each squad will feature talented young players.
The Heights 14U team’s remaining schedule for the 2020 season follows.
February 8-9: Cupid Classic in Paducah at McCracken County High School.
February 22-23: Club Clash 2020 at Alliance Training Center in Franklin, Tenn..
February 29-March 1: Nashville AAU Super Regionals 2020 at various locations in Franklin, Tenn..
March 14-15: Blue Raider Classic in Bowling Green at Ephram White Park or Michael Buchanon Park.
March 21-22: Spring Break Blast 2020 in Louisville at various locations.
