SKYNT compiled a 3-0 record on the final day of the Music City Meltdown to claim the title.
A 14U club volleyball team based out of Bowling Green, SKYNT faced tough competition throughout the Music City Meltdown. Squads from numerous states competed in the club volleyball tournaments in Tennessee.
Earlier in the season, on January 12, SKYNT placed third in the 15U Division at the Winter Warmup. The Winter Warmup served as a season opener for the Bowling Green-based 14U volleyball team.
Following a week off, SKYNT placed seventh in the Gold Division of the 11th Annual Music City Block Party in Franklin, Tenn. Less than 100 percent during the 11th Annual Music City Block Party, SKYNT battled sickness and injuries on its way to finishing seventh.
SKYNT features players from multiple Bowling Green area schools. The upstart youth squad is emerging as one of top 14U volleyball teams in Southern Kentucky.
SKYNT is made up of the following players: Lindley Hatcher (Libero/Defensive Specialist, 5-2, South Warren Middle School), Jordan Gilliam (Outside Hitter/Defensive Specialist, 5-7, South Warren Middle School), Lauren Anderson (Outside Hitter/Defensive Specialist, 5-7, South Warren Middle School), Gracie Veith (Setter/Defensive Specialist, 5-7, South Warren Middle School), Olivia Pinkard (Defensive Specialist/Outside Hitter, 5-4, Bowling Green Junior High School), Lily-Kate Cundiff (Opposite Hitter/Setter, 5-6, South Warren Middle School), Emily Wilson (Defensive Specialist, 5-3, Drakes Creek Middle School), Ella Malone (Middle Blocker, 5-7, Bowling Green Junior High School), Elyce Miller-DeJaynes (Defensive Specialist, 5-3, Bowling Green Junior High School), Keyara Hudson (Middle Blocker, 5-7, South Warren Middle School).
Currently, SKYNT is preparing to compete in the President’s Day Bash in Bowling Green. Several in-state rivals will be among the teams competing in the President’s Day Bash.
SKYNT’s upcoming schedule is as follows: Feb. 15-16: President’s Day Bash in Bowling Green, Ky.; March 7-8: 2020 Spike Fest in Gatlinburg, Tenn.; March 21-22: Vette City Challenge in Bowling Green.
