Here are eight juniors from Paducah to watch.
Anna Black: A junior hitter, Black is a student-athlete from Community Christian School. An underrated high school volleyball player, Black is poised to make a bigger impact for her prep team in 2020. Black is agile and thrives both blocking and passing.
Lilli Clinard: A junior hitter, Clinard is a student-athlete from Community Christian School. Consistent for Community Christian throughout the 2019 high school volleyball season, Clinard led her prep team in blocks. Comfortable playing multiple positions up front, Clinard displays solid footwork and strong hitting.
Emma Gilbert: A junior hitter, Gilbert is a student-athlete from Paducah Tilghman High School. A standout on the court and in the classroom, Gilbert was a key contributor for Paducah Tilghman throughout 2019. An alert outside hitter, Gilbert hits in a natural motion which allows her to finish strong on many kill attempts.
Jayda Harris: A 6-1 junior middle blocker, Harris is a student-athlete from McCracken County High School. Harris thrives at the net, limiting opponents’ attacks. A strong presence up front, Harris ranked first in blocks and second in kills for region champion McCracken County in 2019. Harris excels at elevating and blocking.
Natalie Lansden: A junior setter, Lansden is a student-athlete from Paducah Tilghman High School. Productive at her position, Lansden led Paducah Tilghman in assists during the 2019 high school volleyball season. A proven leader, Lansden is an exceptional communicator who sets consistently and contributes defensively as well.
Makenzie Mason Makenzie Mason RS McCracken County | 2021 State KY : A junior outside hitter/opposite hitter, Mason is a student-athlete from McCracken County High School. Skilled at hitting from either side, Mason recorded a team-high 345 girls for region champion McCracken County in 2019. The versatile Mason, who is among the state’s top hitters in the Class of 2021, attacks and blocks well in addition to providing quick digs when needed.
Adele Mavigliano: A junior opposite hitter/middle blocker, Mavigliano is a student-athlete from McCracken County High School. Possessing the ability to provide kills for her team and finish strong, Mavigliano closes blocks and penetrates the net well.
Kayli Stevens: A junior setter/defensive specialist/right side hitter, Stevens is a student-athlete from Community Christian School. Among the most versatile high school volleyball players in Region 1, Stevens delivers both offensively and defensively. A solid all-around player, Stevens has emerged as a consistent passer and hitter who uses her athleticism to cover the floor.
