Because of the size of its home facility in Clio, Five 1 Athletics is able to field club volleyball teams ranging in age from 10U-18U.
Amidst all that talent and up-and-coming prospects are the Five 1 Athletics 16U-1 squad. This group appears to be well on its way to racking up a wealth of collegiate interest and that’s because of a roster that includes…
ADRIANNA MILESKI
Currently in her first year with Five 1 Athletics, Mileski has settled in nicely for this program as a Middle. She’s the type of athlete that makes those around her look better and that’s at least partially tied to her ability to follow direction and play within the established gameplan. Out of Swan Valley in Saginaw, at the net her long arms serve her well and on offense her ability to hit the ball where the defense isn’t is growing with regularity.
GILLIAN JONES
Work ethic is a defining trait for this Setter from Davison. Jones is diligent, focused and stays positive. Along the way she also keeps track of all the little details that sometimes get lost, especially after a heated exchange.
KORAH HONIG
This individual makes her way to hone her skills in Genesee County via St. Louis, MI. Aggressive off the set, Honig charges hard, but has the ability to make plays throughout the entire front court. She transitions from defense to offense rather easily, as well.
RACHEL ROCHON
A Libero out of Hartland, Rochon tends to shine the brightest in the backcourt. From that comfort zone she does quite a job fielding incoming serves. She also has a wicked spike from the backcourt and excellent judgement along the back line.
ALLY HAWK
Moving well from side-to-side and showing real speed in tight spaces, Hawk is a part of the Davison class of 2022. Not only does she have the ability to start a rally, her skill set as a finisher is just as dynamic.
Another name to know with the Five 1 Athletics 16U-1 team is Blair Wilson. This Outside Hitter will graduate from Mt. Morris in 2023 because she’s playing up in age. Currently this team has upcoming events scheduled in Indianapolis, IN., followed by a trip to Illinois to compete in Chicago. According to Five 1 Athletics Director and Co-Founder Eric Lazowski all of these individuals currently have not committed to any college programs, but are actively looking and considering their options.
