Here are five versatile Louisville freshmen.
Alayna Johnson: A 5-10 freshman middle hitter/opposite hitter, Johnson is a student-athlete from Ballard High School. Poised to be a key contributor for her high school team later in the year, Johnson can deliver kills from multiple positions. The Ballard High School freshman possesses the leaping ability to make an impact each time that she takes the floor. Johnson is competing for KIVA 15 Black in the 2020 club season.
Georgia Simon: A 5-7 freshman outside hitter/opposite hitter, Simon is a student-athlete from reigning state runner-up Mercy Academy. A freshman who continues to show improvement, Simon is productive hitting from either side and is consistent. Simon is competing for KIVA 15 White.
Lydia Stephens: A 5-9 freshman outside hitter/defensive specialist, Stephens is a student-athlete from national powerhouse Assumption High School. With a diverse skill set, Stephens is able to produce offensively and defensively and ranks among the top young players in the tradition-rich Assumption volleyball program. Stephens is competing for KIVA 15 Red.
Kendall Yarber: A 5-8 freshman outside hitter/opposite hitter/defensive specialist, Yarber is a student-athlete from Mercy Academy. Athletic and able to cover a lot of the floor, Yarber is a solid hitter and passer with the ability to contribute regularly while playing multiple positions. Yarber is competing for Union Asics 15-3.
Molly Kate Walker: A 5-11 freshman middle hitter/opposite hitter, Walker is a student-athlete from former state title contender Sacred Heart Academy. Early in her volleyball career, Walker has developed into a force at the net, blocking and hitting consistently for teams both in the prep and club ranks. Walker is competing for KIVA 15 White.
