Here are six Bowling Green juniors to watch.
Sydney Clayton Sydney Clayton S South Warren | 2021 State KY : A junior setter, Clayton is a student-athlete from South Warren High School. Among the state’s top setters, Clayton recorded 1,019 assists and 300 digs for South Warren in 2019. Thriving at her position, Clayton has shown the ability to determine the most efficient set, combination or offensive strategy in various rotations and situations.
Sophie Doszak: A junior defensive specialist, Doszak is another student-athlete from South Warren High School. Taking on a larger role for her team in 2019, Doszak registered 221 digs in 88 sets. A defensive standout, Doszak provides consistent passes at a high percentage.
Katie Howard Katie Howard OH Greenwood | 2021 State KY : A junior outside hitter, Howard is a student-athlete from 4th Region champion Greenwood High School. Howard, who was named First Team All-State and the 4th Region Player of the Year, recorded 488 kills, 243 digs and 55 saves. One of the top high school volleyball players in the state and a stellar athlete, Howard is an exceptional hitter and solid passer.
Morgan Krisher: A junior outside hitter, Krisher is a student-athlete from Warren East High School. An underrated high school volleyball player, Krisher paced her team in kills during the 2019 season. Developing into a leader, Krisher delivers as both a blocker and passer while displaying high energy.
Anna Neal: A junior outside hitter, Neal is a student-athlete from Bowling Green High School. Among the leaders for her prep team, Neal uses her agility to produce offensively and defensively. An athletic outside hitter, Neal finishes strong at the net and passes well.
Takiyah Whitfield: A junior defensive specialist, Whitfield is a student-athlete from Warren Central High School. Consistent and a student of the game, Whitfield is a strong server and excels thanks in part to her solid communication skills.
