Alexander was part of a middle duo for St. Louis Park that helped guide the Orioles to the class 3A state tournament in 2019. Both of them are back and will be counted on once again to provide the athletic presence that they provide so well. Alexander is a physical athlete with good elevation and quickness. She improved in her volleyball skill set on both sides of the ball as the season progressed as she provided big offense at times in front and behind the setter. Defensively, she has skills and length to be a big barrier for opposing attackers. The Orioles have a handful of key pieces coming back and will look to repeat their 2019 success.

Rossing provides good attacking versatility as she can terminate from the middle as well as both pins. She has good elevation and extension through her arm work that can be tough to defend when she can maximize that jump and reach. She is an aggressive and confident attacker with good spring in her jump. She moves the ball around well with good pace as she can attack the block high or swing through open zones in the defense. The Maple Grove product is a key returning member for a team that has good tools and personnel to compete well with the best programs.

Don’t underestimate Hillman’s abilities as an outside hitter. At 5’7, that might be easy to do upon first sight. However, Hillman has great tools and athleticism to produce points for her team on the left pin. She has good quickness and gets off the floor well. Combine this with good court sense and vision and you have a player that can frustrate you because of the versatility she can bring with her arm. She can swing aggressively as well as outsmart the defense with crafty shots. Additionally, she has great ball control and brings that quickness to the defensive side as well. Champlin Park lost a corps of veterans that helped them win a lot of matches over the past two seasons. Hillman will be a key veteran this next fall and will look to keep the Rebels in the mix among the class 3A juggernauts.

Coon Rapids | 2021
State
MN
– 6’4 | MH | HS: Coon Rapids | Club: MVA | Prep Dig #78
At 6’4, Post has great length that benefits her game very well. As she continues to develop the fluidity in her movements both blocking and in transition, she is still very productive for her team given the wingspan combined with a few things she does at a higher level. Defensively she shows good patience and vision to make the right read and move against the opposing offense. Upon her lift she gets her hands across the net well while filling up good space above the tape. On the offensive side, when on time and with good spacing, she can get on top of the ball well. Add that to her size and she creates a dangerous combination for opponents with few that will be able to slow that down at the net.

– 5’6 | L/DS | HS: RTR | Club: SWMNVB | Prep Dig #79
Carr provides good presence as a libero. She shows good command of the court through her effort and competitive mindset to make big plays for her team. She has good fundamentals in both phases of serve receive and defense as she has good preparation in her body position and balance. She shows engaged vision through the flow of the point to get her feet set and ready to react to the ball coming across the net. The more efficient she is in her movement the better she is in pursuing the ball while showing good work in her angle creation. Her pursuit of the ball is relentless and there is no fear in her when taking on the best from the biggest and strongest attackers. Carr is a returning veteran for a RTR team that lost three seniors but brings back a lot of youth following a season that produced 20+ wins.
