Here’s a look at six 12th Region players on the rise.
Bailey Brown: A defensive specialist from Lynn Camp High School, Brown is headed into her sophomore season. Brown made an impact for Lynn Camp as a freshman in 2019, logging 141 digs and 25 service aces. One of the top young defensive players in the 12th Region, Brown displays her athleticism regularly and produces as a back row hitter.
Lindsey Browning: A middle hitter, Browning is a student-athlete from Harlan County High School. An key contributor prior to the start of her junior season, Browning compiled 67 kills, 66 assists and 170 digs as a sophomore in 2019. Browning, who is expected to deliver more blocks during the 2020 prep volleyball season, reads opposing hitters accurately and excels when digging.
Kaylee Graham: Heading into her junior season, Graham is an outside hitter from Williamsburg High School. Contributing throughout her sophomore season in 2019, Graham recorded 105 kills, 109 digs and 67 service aces over 28 matches for the Yellow Jackets. Underrated, Graham is a strong hitter from the left side who thrives as a server.
Kailey Harris: On the verge of competing as a junior, Harris is a defensive specialist from Pineville High School. Harris chipped in for Pineville as a sophomore throughout the 2019 high school volleyball season, tallying 68 digs and 63 service aces in 21 matches. A defensive standout who is quick, Harris covers the court well and has shown the ability to deliver from the front row.
Gabbi Hornsby: A middle blocker from Jackson County High School, Hornsby is preparing to take the court for her junior season. As a sophomore in 2019, Hornsby posted 75 kills, 16 blocks and 38 service aces. An established hitter, Hornsby is developing into a productive blocker who can block in tandem and individually.
Maddison Jones: Poised for her sophomore season, Jones is a setter/outside hitter from Knox Central High School. Jones excelled throughout her freshman campaign, registering 207 assists, 128 digs, 79 service aces and 57 kills for the Panthers in 2019. A vocal leader, Jones runs offenses efficiently and identifies blockers well.
