Not one of her players last year was a senior, so all of her really good players will be returning with another year of experience under their belts. It must be exciting to be a Trojan volleyball fan this coming season. Below we can discuss the returning players and analyze their stats from the fall 2019 season.
Returning Players:
2021 Athletes
Tri-Center has three athletes who will be the senior class next fall, and honestly, I cannot wait for next fall to get here.
Presley Pogge Presley Pogge OH Tri-Center | 2021 State IA
Presley is a really smart and quick athlete that excels at volleyball. She had a team-high 2.43 KPS, .959 serve efficiency with 23 aces, 2.83 DPS, and 45 total blocks. She is a leader on this team and played in 77 of this team’s 98 sets. I don’t expect that Presley will go out quietly. I think she will be on fire for her senior season and can’t wait to watch her play.
Kylie Alfers
Kylie played in only 4 of her team’s 98 sets last year. I expect she will get more time on the court next fall for her senior season so she can show us what she can do.
Laura Brockhoff
Laura played in 90 of her team’s 98 total sets during her junior season. She is 6′ 1″ and had 1.21 KPS and team-high 49 total blocks.
2022 Athletes
Tri-Center could field an entire volleyball team with its new Juniors in the fall of 2020 season.
Abby Stamp
Abby played in 96 of 98 sets in 2019. She had .937 serve efficiency with 17 aces, 1.76 DPS, and 2 blocks.
Miranda Ring Miranda Ring DS/L Tri-Center | 2022 State IA
Miranda is the setter for this team and runs the court well. She played in all 98 sets last fall for the Trojans. She had .969 serve efficiency with 29 aces, 6.96 APS, 2.30 DPS, and 44 total blocks.
Maddie Wood
Maddie played in 95 of 98 sets for this team in 2019. She had .911 serve efficiency with 11 aces and 1.12 DPS.
Meredith Maassen
Meredith played in all 98 sets for the Trojans last year. She had 1.14 KPS, .58 DPS, and 36 total blocks.
Tatum Carlson Tatum Carlson 5'6" | DS/L Tri-Center | 2022 State IA
Tatum played in all 98 sets for the Trojans last fall and had the second-highest KPS…as a sophomore. I think it is safe to say that she is one to watch and should play at the next level once she graduates from high school. Her stats last fall were 2.22 KPS, .964 serve efficiency with 49 aces, 3.68 DPS, and 8 total blocks.
Marissa Ring
Marissa played in all 98 sets in 2019 for the Trojans. She had .961 serve efficiency with 31 aces, 2.96 DPS, and 4 blocks.
2023 Athletes
Hope McPhillips
Hope played in only 14 of 98 sets during her freshman season so this year might be the time to start seeing her more on the court to see what she can bring to it.
Emilie Sorensen
Emilie played in 84 of 98 sets in 2019. She had 1.39 KPS, .68 DPS, and 23 total blocks.
Presley Arbaugh
Presley played in 60 of 98 sets during her freshman season and had some kills, some good serves, and 13 aces. She will keep developing and it will interesting to see the development over the winter and summer.
Brooke Daughenbaugh
Brooke had 3 kills, no errors, made 11 of 12 serves with 1 ace, had 6 assists, and 1 dig in only ten sets. She will get more of a chance this year to contribute to her team.
