That is on display by the list of 57+ athletes from the class of 2020 who have been recruited to collegiate programs from all divisions. The list features athletes from every walk of life moving on to programs of all shapes and sizes to pursue their dreams at the next level. Here are a few samples of athletes that have earned the privilege of continuing their volleyball career.
Maki Bispham, Federal Way HS, Dakine Beach Volleyball Club, University of Arizona Beach Volleyball
Bispham has been a leader at Dakine Beach Volleyball from the very beginning and is part of one of their largest recruiting classes yet. She will head to University of Arizona to refine her game at the next level.
Maeve Griffin, Peninsula HS, Oly Reign VBC, University of Washington
Griffin is the lone local recruit in Washington class of 2020. She will work to step into the shoes of graduating libero Shayne Mcpherson and earn a spot in head coach Keegan Cook’s line-up.
Chey Jones, Tahoma HS, Boost VBC, Boise State University
Jones is fresh off an impressive performance for Tahoma on their way to the 2019 4A state title and will be challenging for playing time as a Freshman at Boise State in the fall.
Kaiona Apio, Edmonds Woodway HS, Space Needle VBF, Willamette University
Apio is going to college as a duel sport athlete. She will play both volleyball and throw for the track team at Willamette.
Sarah Day, Monroe HS, Sudden Impact VBC, Seattle Pacific University
A three year starter at Monroe, Day was a late commitment to Seattle Pacific University. She should excel in the program that is experienced at utilizing slightly undersized hitters.
