A member of a very good Northern Lights top 16s team, Bredenberg is among the best at her position in this class. She is fundamentally sound and plays her role with good vision and preparation. She has good first step reaction with her ball control and defense and can also apply a lot of pressure when serving. One of a trio of Southwest Christian athletes on this list that will collectively be a big factor in 2020.

– 6’0 | OH | Southwest Christian
An all-conference selection in 2019, Haugen has big-time skills. She can pass herself in-system in serve receive and uses good footwork and momentum build to capitalize on her great lift off the floor. With a recorded 10’ approach touch she gets up well, has hang time, and brings good arm control to move the ball around. She has the tools to help carry this team deep in the postseason with good support around her among her fellow classmates.
Emma Lade – 5’7 | S | Mayer Lutheran
Lade was good in 2019 and will be even better this fall given her experience as the floor leader for this team that has great point scoring potential in their offense. She moves around the floor well and understands tempo and location in all situations, which was a huge part of their arsenal given the dynamic arms they had around the court a year ago. She returns as a veteran and has a good competitive mindset on the court to help keep her team working towards their high standards of play.
Paige Lemkuil – 5’11 | OH/RS | Southwest Christian
Under the radar by comparison to her fellow classmates on this same list, Lemkuil has a skill set that has potential to contribute well for this team. Her ball control is simple and she uses good footwork and balance to create her angles. She gets her feet to the ball well on her approach and takes aggressive swings. Competing for MN Select’s 16-2 team provided good training and competition that should benefit her well in the coming months.
Sydney Meyer – 5’2 | L | Belle Plaine
Meyer stands at 5’2 and made a big impact for Belle Plaine in the libero role in 2019, helping her team reach the state tournament and finish with a third place trophy. She has good court awareness and engagement during point flow and utilizes her quickness well to get to a lot of balls in scramble situations. She tracks the ball well in serve receive and plays defense with good range to dig the ball effectively in all directions.

– 6’1 | RS/OH | Mayer Lutheran
Wachholz has one of the heaviest arms in this class if not the state. She can flat out crush the ball and did so often for the Crusaders in 2019 earning all-conference and class A 1st team all-state honors. She has great mobility in her approach work and can terminate through a variety of locations and tempos from the right side. She will be the primary factor for this team in 2020 and should see similar success and production as they return good ball control and setting to keep their varied offense in place.
