Not everyone likes the fact that Wesco matches are broadcast live and archived on   Coaches have indicated that the broadcasts give an unfair scouting advantage to teams from other conferences when they go to district or state tournament matches.   The overwhelming majority of volleyball players, college coaches and families however love the coverage and the exposure for the athletes who are putting in tireless hours in the gym and classroom so that they can perform their best on game day.   

What sets apart is the quality of coverage.   Producer Tod Elvig has produced high quality streams with play by play and sometimes color commentators that highlight the stories of the athletes that go beyond the performance on the court.   His goal from the beginning has been to showcase the additional efforts of the student athletes and give them the recognition they deserve for the extra work they put in to be student athletes.
