Continue ReadingThis summer has been anything far from normal in regards to athletes committing to college programs at the next level. People will see athletes commit on social media and might wonder how does that work when there are no on campus visits or camps right now? For most of these athletes, they have attended camps or went on unofficial visits to campus prior to everything shutting down in March. It’s a brand new blueprint in the world of recruiting during the Covid-19 era. Here are a few notable commits we’ve seen over the summer and where the next steps will lead for these athletes!
Avery Beckett Avery Beckett 5'10" | OH Waverly Shell Rock | 2022 State IA – Waverly-Shell Rock – Six Pack (IA)
Committed to South Dakota
The pipeline to South Dakota, which is emerging as a Summit League powerhouse continues where the Coyotes have had great success bringing in top Iowa athletes. In the past year Alexis Moses Alexis Moses 6'3" | MB Cedar Rapids Prairie | 2022 State IA from CR Prairie/Iowa Rockets and Jadyn Jondle Jadyn Jondle DS/L Clarion-Goldfield Dows | 2021 State IA Clarion-Goldfield-Dows/Six Pack have given their verbal as well to play at USD. Beckett is a six rotation outside who has an incredible upside. She can fly on the pin, finding a variety of ways to score points. As her backcourt game develops, she will be one of those who will just find a way to score in any rotation. An electric athlete to watch!

Alivia Bronner Alivia Bronner 5'5" | DS/L Cedar Falls | 2022 State IA – Cedar Falls – Six Pack (IA)
Committed to Northern Iowa
Watching Bronner play, she is extremely relaxed with her platform in the backrow, making plenty of difficult plays look relatively easy. With great court awareness and savvy, she will be a welcome local addition to the Panthers who have always built their program on top local talent. Before heading to Northern Iowa, she will look to lead Cedar Falls back to the state tournament after taking home a state title in 2019. CF has always been deep with talent and then next batch of athletes will be looking to keep the tradition alive and well!
Natalie Ring Natalie Ring 6'1" | OH Edgewood | 2022 State #177 Nation WI – Edgewood – Capital Volleyball Academy (WI)
Committed to Marquette
Ring brings such a physicality and athletic style of play to the court. This will be a great fit for Marquette who have produced some top pin players from within the state in Allie Barber (Cederburg) and Hope Werch (Neenah). Marquette also has quite the Class of 2021 recruiting class coming in which includes Rings high school and club teammate, Ella Foti Ella Foti 6'0" | S Madison Edgewood | 2021 State WI who will set at Marquette, but can do a little bit of everything for Edgewood and CVA. Ring has a cannon for an arm and with an improved all around game she will be blasting away from all rotations.
Kara Erdmann – Forreston – VC United (IL)
Committed to Michigan State
VC United has been building a pipeline into the Big Ten. Erdmann will join her club teammate, Ella Holmstrom Ella Holmstrom 6'1" | OH Guilford | 2022 State #149 Nation IL who is heading to Indiana. Erdmann anticipates extremely well and can take pace off a hard driven swing and keep her side of the net in system. This past seasons VC Unite 161 Elite squad had plenty of weapons, but extremely tight ball control to score points. I have a feeling there will be plenty more commits to come from this really talented Class of 2022 group from VC United .
Congrats to junior OH/RS Haley Koch Haley Koch MB Oconomowoc | 2022 State WI on her verbal commitment to Cedarville Univ. Coach Smith is getting very talented and explosive player ! We are very proud of you Haley. 🐝🏐 pic.twitter.com/vMiLQMgB6i

Haley Koch Haley Koch MB Oconomowoc | 2022 State WI – Oconomowoc – Milwaukee Sting (WI)
Committed to Cedarville
Koch might be one of the most dynamic attackers in the Class of 2022 in Wisconsin where she can play any position in the front row. She has been a two year starter as a middle for Oconomowoc High School finish runner-up in Wisconsin’s largest class in 2018 and 2019. Long, athletic, and versatile, Koch’s future might be on the pin where she can put up a major block as well as contact from a high point, using her vision and court awareness she learned as a middle. Cedarville is a Division 2 school in Cedarville, OH competing in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
