Here are five 14th Region seniors on the rise.
Hannah Jones Hannah Jones S Powell County | 2021 State KY : A versatile performer, Jones excelled in multiple categories for Powell County as a junior in 2019. Jones appeared in 28 matches for Powell County during the 2019 high school volleyball season, recording 215 assists, 280 digs and 65 service aces. An accurate passer, Jones thrives as a server.
Hayley Joseph: An outside hitter, Joseph appeared in each of Leslie County’s 33 matches in 2019. Joseph recorded 40 kills, 42 digs and 47 service aces in 63 sets during the 2019 high school volleyball season. A strong hitter from the left side, Joseph reads opposing defenses well and calls out hitters consistently.
Isabella Noble: Among the most underrated volleyball players in the 14th Region, Noble is a consistent performer for Jackson City. Noble delivered 34 kills, 103 assists, 136 digs and and 28 service aces in the Tigers’ 26 matches during the 2019 high school volleyball season. A skilled passer, Noble makes challenging digs routinely.
McKenzie Robertson: Consistent throughout the 2019 high school volleyball season, Robertson appeared in 32 of 14th Region champion Breathitt County’s 36 matches. A middle blocker/middle hitter, Robertson recorded 74 kills, 29 blocks, 23 assists and 34 digs. Robertson uses quick attacks on offense and delivers as a blocker.
Chloe Watts: After contributing for June Buchanan throughout 2019, Watts is carrying momentum over into her senior campaign. As a junior, Watts posted 42 kills, 13 blocks, 23 assists, 50 digs and 47 service aces in the Crusaders’ 24 matches. Possessing a diverse skillset and strong jumping abilities, Watts hits well from both sides.
