Sophomores are among the top high school volleyball players in the 5th Region. 

Several 5th Region student-athletes excelled as freshmen during the 2019 high school volleyball season. 

Heading into the 2020 high school volleyball season, multiple sophomores are carrying momentum. 

Here are five 5th Region sophomores to watch. 

Raegan Abell: A defensive specialist/setter/outside hitter, Abell is a versatile high school volleyball player from Washington County. Making an impact defensively and offensively, Abell logged minutes in 33 of Washington County's 35 matches during the 2019 high school volleyball season, recording 269 digs, 37 assists and 29 service aces over 85 sets. An efficient passer and server, Abell makes challenging digs regularly. 

Addie Atcher: An outside hitter from Central Hardin, Atcher thrived throughout the 2019 high school volleyball season. Among the leaders for Central Hardin, Atcher played in all 40 of the Bruins' matches in 2019. Atcher led Central Hardin with a team-high 359 kills during the 2019 season. A strong hitter from the left side, Atcher is one of the top young volleyball players in the 5th Region.
