The 12th Region features multiple improved high school volleyball teams. 

Here are three 12th Region volleyball teams on the rise. 

Danville: Performing well throughout 2019, Danville finished as the 45th District runner-up and made an appearance in the 12th Region Volleyball Tournament. Doubling its win total from the previous campaign, Danville compiled an 18-12 record in 2019. The Admirals showed much improvement after ending the 2018 high school volleyball season 9-15. Danville returns most of its players from the 2019 season, including Briana Johnson (Sr., MB, 171 kills, 64 blocks), Faith Breitenbach (Sr., S, 120 kills, 370 assists, 199 digs, 66 service aces), Destiny Byrd (Sr., MB, 113 kills, 32 blocks, 58 digs, 35 service aces), Keeley McKnight (Sr., S, 121 kills, 49 blocks, 403 assists, 203 digs, 50 service aces), Delaney Dennis (Sr., OH, 253 kills, 337 digs, 55 service aces) and Isabella Joseph (Jr., DS, 243 digs, 81 service aces).

McCreary Central: Continuing to show improvement during the 2019 high school volleyball season, McCreary Central finished 19-12. The Raiders were 16-13 in 2018. Starting strong in 2019, McCreary Central opened the season on an eight-match winning streak. Alexa Bruce (403 assists, 46 kills, 95 digs, 52 service aces),
