St. Louis area well represented
31, 32, 34, and 35 all represent the St. Louis region. Carly Glendinning Carly Glendinning 6'1" | OH Timberland | 2022 State #109 Nation MO , a 6’1″ OH is an improving player who competes at Timberland and Rockwood Thunder. Her height is an advantage as it makes her versatile on the front row. She is a high-energy player. Kennedy Lane Kennedy Lane 5'9" | OH St. Pius X | 2022 State MO (St. Pius/High Performance STL) is another pin hitter who has the ability to play at the next level. She can hit on the D2 level or even play back-row. She is a smarter player who understands her strengths and uses them to be successful. Another High Performance player that coaches made sure to mention was Hayley Baliva Hayley Baliva 6'0" | RS St. Joseph's Academy | 2022 State MO , the 6’0″ RS from St. Josephs. She touches just under 10’0″, so she shows she can be effective at the net. Rounding out this grouping is Rachel Schipper Rachel Schipper 5'8" | S St. Dominic | 2022 State MO , the 5’8″ setter who plays her club ball at Rockwood and attends St. Dominic. She has been touted as a very smart leader who has drawn interest from schools in the region.
Kansas City
A couple of players made the list from the greater Kansas City area. Kate Brown Kate Brown 5'11" | MB Platte County | 2022 State MO (Dynasty) has been a staple in the Platte County lineup since her freshman year and continues to improve year after year. She has primarily played the middle but has shown she can be a pin hitter at the next level too. She gets off the ground quickly and has great length. Joining her on the list from the area is 6’1″ middle Alex Dvorak Alex Dvorak 6'1" | MB Park Hill South | 2022 State MO (Park Hill South/PVA). Like Brown, she has been a fixture since day 1 on her high school team. She swings very well from in front of the setter and is continuing to develop a strong slide. She is also a good blocker.
Ozark Region
The Ozark region year after year continues to develop strong players. Kindall Smithson Kindall Smithson 5'5" | DS/L Willard | 2022 State MO (Willard/Club Momentum) has received praise for her back-row defense. Another player quite a few coaches have positive affirmation for is Reese Schaaf Reese Schaaf 5'10" | RS El Dorado Springs | 2022 State MO . Like her teammate in the rankings, she has the ability to set and play on the right-side at the next level. She has good size at 5’10” and athleticism. Even though not necessarily in the region, we will add Devin Younger Devin Younger 5'5" | DS/L Festus | 2022 State MO of Festus in the Jefferson City area. She stands out on the court with her tough competitiveness. She is a leader on the court.
Southeast
Down in Bloomfield, MO, a player who had their name mentioned a few times was Karsynn Phillips Karsynn Phillips 5'6" | DS/L Bloomfield | 2022 State MO , a 5’6″ libero. Tough was a word mentioned a time or two when describing her play on the court. She digs everything she gets her hands on and can definitely play at the next level.
