Several juniors thrived as Marshall County was one of six 1st Region volleyball teams to notch 20 or more wins during the 2019 high school volleyball season. Marshall County concluded the 2019 high school volleyball season 20-16.
Heading into the 2020 high school volleyball season, Marshall County will be looking to surpass the 20-win total.
Here are three Marshall County seniors to watch.
Clara Bradley: A setter/outside hitter, Bradley displayed versatility for Marshall County throughout her junior season. Bradley distributed a team-high 379 assists while logging 172 digs, 52 service aces and 51 digs in 2019. An accurate passer, Bradley has shown the ability to excel from both the front row and the back row.
McKenzie Elkins: A defensive specialist, Elkins paced Marshall County in digs during the 2019 high school volleyball season. Elkins recorded a team-high 358 digs for Marshall County in 2019. Quick and agile, Elkins has thrived as a back row hitter for perennial 4th District title contender Marshall County.
Peyton Gresham: A setter/defensive specialist, Gresham contributed from two different positions for Marshall County at various times during the 2019 high school volleyball season. Gresham posted 316 assists, 73 digs and 43 service aces during her junior season. A vocal leader, Gresham runs offenses efficiently and sets consistently.
