The camp was structured to bring the best athletes in Oregon and Southwest Washington into one facility and let them compete. With COVID-19 the opportunities for athletes to compete have been severely limited, so this was a great chance to get the best of the best in one place. While some players were not able to attend, the Courts were filled with forty-seven incredible volleyball players. Be on the lookout for content coming highlighting players in attendance.
Below are the senior middle blockers who represented their class and position well at the camp.
Brezlyn Langer Brezlyn Langer 6'1" | MB Sunset | 2021 State OR , 6’1, MB, Sunset High School, Oregon Juniors Volleyball Academy, Biola University
What makes Langer such a special player is her coachability. Having only played competitive volleyball since her sophomore year of high school she has made significant improvements to her game in a very short amount of time. She is also an incredibly smart blocker with great court awareness, which is why she also makes for a great right-side attacker. With her strong swing on the slide, the adjustment to hitting on the right was done with ease.
Check out her impressive slide attack!
Langer, who switched between the middle and right side this past season, had a breakout season for the Sunset Apollos finish third in the Metro League. Although this was her first season on varsity, she was an impact player for them as both a dominant blocker and attacker.
Last club season she played for Oregon Juniors Volleyball Academy 17-1.
She recently committed to play at Biola University.
Kylie Zralka Kylie Zralka 6'1" | MB Tualatin | 2021 State OR , 6’1″, MB, Tualatin High School, Athena Volleyball Academy
What makes Zralka such a special player is her versatility. She can play any position across the front row with confidence. Although a middle for most of her career, she has recently started to train as an outside hitter. Zralka is incredibly athletic and uses her fast and high arm swing to put the ball away.
Check out her smart corner shot!
Zralka had a dominant season for the Tualatin High School Timberwolves. She was a go-to attacker for her team and was awarded Three Rivers Second Team All-League for her play. She was awarded Three Rivers League Honorable Mention as a sophomore.
Last club season she played for Athena Volleyball Academy 17-1 Gold.
Jayda Lee, 6’0”, MB, Glencoe High School
What makes Lee such a special player is her athleticism. Though she dominates on the volleyball court, she is a three-sport athlete. Last season she played on the basketball team and was awarded Pacific Conference Honorable Mention. However, the track field is where she does the most damage. She throws shot put and discus and participates in the high jump. She broke the high school record at Glencoe this past season for discus and was awarded the 2019 Field Athlete of the Year. Her athleticism has helped her become a dominant middle blocker with a crazy high vertical and incredibly solid block.
Check out her explosive middle attack!
Lee, a three-year varsity starter for the Glencoe High School Crimson Tide, had another solid season as their starting middle She was awarded Pacific Conference First Team All-League this past year, as well as Pacific Conference Second Team All-League as a sophomore. Instead of playing club volleyball, she participated in basketball and track.
