Yesterday I broke down the 1A-3A regional brackets taking a closer look at potential matchups as well as some sleepers who will make a push for Cedar Rapids. The same can be said about Class 4A and 5A as post season approaches and teams are prepping to be at their peak with hopes to extend their season to the city or five seasons in the first week of November.
Breaking Down The WaMac
The WaMac conference is the best when it comes to Class 3A and 4A. Throw in a highly ranked Class 2A Beckman squad and it’s sprinkles on the donut. Year in and out these teams are advancing to state and winning state (Mr. Vernon in 2019) and most likely have to beat each other out. These teams are all geographically close to each other which makes it tough to split. This year there could be a potential matchup in a regional final with CCA and West Delaware which WD has had the most recent upper hand defeating CCA 2-0 on 10/12. Marion, who was a final four finisher last year in Class 4A,
