Nearly 200 young women from throughout the East Coast and as far away as Colorado to show their talents in front of college coaches and get the feedback needed to help improve their status as prospects. We ranked all the players and are showcasing the top 5 in each class and position as well as some up and coming prospects.
Katherine “McKinna” Magette is a libero and defensive specialist form Southampton, VA and plays for Beach Elite VBC. The 5’7 senior is also an exceptional setter. She is an exceptional student with a 3.9 GPA and extremely active in the community and high school extracurricular activities. McKinna has outstanding fundamentals in setting and defense. She’s relentless in defense and reads the game very well. The game seems to slow down for her with her exceptional reading skills and platform control. She is a strong Division 2 prospect and could be potentially a Division 1 prospect. McKinna has committed to continuing her playing career as a Cavalier for UVA-Wise, a NCAA Division II school in southwest Virginia.
Sophia Dawson is a 5’7 senior Defensive Specialist from Albemarle High School and played last season for Fredericksburg Juniors Volleyball Club. She also plays both pins and hits with range and intelligence but not an overpowering attacker. She’s athletic and glides as she moves on the court with a quiet platform and awareness. She’s a solid defender and good in serve receive. Armed with a hard flat jump float serve, she is a point scoring option from the service line. She’s a solid Division 3 prospect for mid level programs but playing exclusively defense, she could play Division II level.
Jessica Cleveland Jessica Cleveland 5'4" | DS/L Millbrook | 2021 State VA is a Libero from the Winchester area, playing for Potomac Elite (WV) and Millbrook High School. The 5’4 senior has an excellent jump float with speed and range. She can hit varies speeds and lo
cations to become a weapon from the service line. She puts up hittable balls out of system to help point scoring opportunities. She moves efficiently to the ball on defense and serve receive. She has a great platform and controls driven balls well. She’s a high energy players and has an infectious love of the game. She’s a strong student as well and balances her life well with AP courses and travel volleyball. Jessica would love to follow in her big sister’s steps and play in college. She’s a borderline Division II talent and could grow as a player with the higher level of competition.
Hannah Livermon plays travel for St James Volleyball and Hayfield High School (Lorton, VA). The 5’5 Libero has decided to stay close to home and play for the Eagles of the University of Mary Washington. The lefty uses her powerful jump float as a weapon to wreak havoc on the opposition. She is a strong defender and reads the game well. She has great ball control with an endless motor on the court. She’s athletic and has quick reflexes to react to broken plays defensively.
