This compounded with post-graduate planning can be more than enough to make anyone give up, but senior, Lexie Petrick is not that type. She just recently announced her commitment to St. Katherine’s University.
The Lakeville North hitter, gained more attention last year after her team made it to the state tournament and won the consolation championship. She was an important part of the team adding great depth. She has spent years among the Northern Lights club and has great all-around skills. Her technical passing makes her a great option in the back row and she can also be counted on to make strategic plays as a hitter.
Even a pandemic couldn’t stop this driven young woman. She felt a sense of belonging when touring St. Kate’s campus. The 4.0 high school student athlete plans to purse dietetics. It will an intense program along with practices and matches but Lexie has mastered both academics and the court. Her positive attitude and work ethic reflect this in all she does.
As for her senior year she remains cautious and enthused telling us, ” I am super glad we were given our high school volleyball season, and I am happy to see my friends at school again with our hybrid learning model!”
With this type of positivity we know she will do great things.
