Anna Drahozal Anna Drahozal DS/L Bishop O'Connell | 2022 State VA returns to Bishop O’Connell to continue to carry a heavy offensive load. The powerful 5’10 Junior Outside Hitter amassed 392 kills in her sophomore season and looks to improve on that in 2020. She’s a solid passer and defender. For the travel season, Anna was a member of the Virginia Juniors Volleyball program. She was named to First Team All VISAA All-State in 2019.
Taylor Wilmot Taylor Wilmot 5'8" | S Bishop Ireton | 2021 State VA returns for her senior campaign hoping to help Bishop Ireton to a great season. The 5’8 setter is also a selection for First Team All VISAA All-State player. Taylor runs a solid offense and consistently makes good decisions and puts up a hittable ball. She’s solid fundamentally and does whatever she can to make her team better. She played club for Virginia Elite last season.
Ella Deans Ella Deans 6'0" | OH Norfolk Academy | 2021 State VA is a dominant three sports athlete for Norfolk Academy and are the star Outside Hitter. After a great season in 2019, the 6 foot uncommitted senior looks to continue her success in her final high school season. Ella collected 228 kills and 197 digs in 2019 and hopes to better those this season. The powerful outside hitter hits a wide range of attacks and has excellent ball control on defense and reception. She was also a Second Team All-State selection. She also will be on the court for basketball and soccer this coming season.
Zhane Moledina Zhane Moledina 5'8" | OH Potomac School | 2021 State VA returns to the watch list for the Potomac School Panthers. The 5’8 pin hitter will be back in action for her senior year after a 2019 performance that earned a Second Team All-State selection. She played travel ball for Virginia Elite where she was nominated for the enjoyment award in 2019. She led the Panthers in kills and aces and her team finished with a quarterfinals loss to eventual state champion Flint Hill in 2019.
Rian Sherod rounds out the list for our players to watch. The St. Catherine’s Saints versatile hitter amassed 193 kills last season with 32 blocks and a .296 hitting efficiency. She played both middle hitter and outside hitter for the state runner-up squad. Rian is extremely athletic and overpowers the competition for the Saints and her travel team at Richmond Volleyball Club. The uncommitted hitter looks to have a strong 2020-21 season and evaluate the colleges pursuing her.
