The top performers for Bardstown were Kyndal Ganoe (6 kills, 10 digs, 6 service aces), Makya Mudd (6 kills, 2 blocks, 2 digs), Julia Brown (5 kills, 6 digs, 2 service aces), Asia Cooper (4 kills, 6 digs), Janessa Girdley (2 kills, 6 assists), Jesse Riley (12 assists, 9 digs) and Sophia Downs (1 kill, 1 assist, 6 digs, 1 service ace).
The top performers for Nelson County were Madison Edelen (6 kills, 2 service aces), Makenna Howard (1 kill, 10 digs, 2 service aces), Baeli Spencer (6 assists, 5 digs), Cathryn White (1 kill, 1 block, 6 assists, 3 digs, 1 service ace), Emilee Medley (10 digs) and Carlie Cramer (5 digs).
Longtime rivals, Bardstown and Nelson County met for the second time in the 2020 high school volleyball season. The Tigers swept the 2020 19th District Volleyball series between the two programs. In an earlier meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 9, Bardstown blanked Nelson County 3-0, winning 26-24, 25-9, 25-18.
Both Bardstown and Nelson County will compete in the 19th District Volleyball Tournament later in the month.
