Lyman High School won the 2020 FHSAA 7A State Championship, in addition to being ranked the #1 team in the State of Florida. This year Lyman faced off against Lake Nona High School, an impressive team, for the state title. The match went five sets with a 3 to 2 victory for Lyman. A big part of that victory, and an overall incredible season, 29-1, can be accredited to a few standout players.

Valeria RosadoValeriaRosado6'0" | OHLyman | 2021StateFL was voted Player of the Match during the state championship game, but this is not a surprise based on her performance throughout the season. She has had an impressive career at Lyman High; over the last two years, Valeria has played in 168 sets and scored 1,067 kills, 126 aces, 52 total blocks, and has completed 494 digs. The amount of sets Valeria was given in this season alone, a staggering 1,233, speaks to the trust that her teammates have in her to score the point.
