Kylie Ciani – 6’1” – MH, OH – Sunlake High School
Kylie Ciani has been one of the best attackers in Pasco County since she joined Sunlake’s Varsity Volleyball team as a freshman in 2018. Despite missing most of her sophomore year due to a knee injury, she has returned this season like she never missed a beat and continues to grow as an outstanding player. In her varsity career, Kylie has played in over 130 sets and accumulated nearly 500 kills with a hitting percentage of .485. She has also totaled over 150 blocks with nearly 100 solo blocks. Although her primary position is middle hitter and blocker, she can swing from any position on the court. In a given match, her repeated kills and powerful swings set the pace and tone of the game for her team.
Zoe Chin – 6’0” – OH, RS – Steinbrenner High School
Zoe Chin is an outstanding front row attacker and an exceptional defender for her height. In 2019, Zoe joined Steinbrenner’s varsity volleyball team as a sophomore and has played in nearly 150 sets in the last two seasons. She has accumulated almost 350 kills, 60 blocks, and 250 digs. This all-around player can not only attack from the outside position, but she can also put up an impenetrable block and defend from the back row as well. However, her greatest strength on the court is her powerful cross-court swing; her attack is extremely difficult to defend due to its placement and speed. Zoe is considering offers from several Division I universities, but at this time she has not verbally committed to one yet.
Elizabeth McDonald – 6’2” – MB, OH – Mitchell High School
Elizabeth McDonald is an outstanding middle hitter and blocker on the Mitchell Varsity volleyball team. She has been playing on the varsity team for Mitchell since her freshman year in 2018. Since then, she has played in over 200 sets and scored 535 kills, 77 solo blocks, 140 total blocks, and nearly 100 aces. Her career hitting percentage is .331; however, this season, her junior year, she had an incredible .448 hitting percentage. In addition to being a captain and leader on the team, she has a presence on the court that is unmistakable. Elizabeth is both a talented hitter and blocker from both the middle and outside pins. She is quick to the outside pins for blocks and fast middle sets, and she is able to jump high into the air to get on top of the ball in addition to her tall height. Even though Mitchell has several high-level, talented players, Elizabeth stands out on the court as a player to watch.
Gabrielle Spankus – 5’10” – S, OPP – Tarpon Springs High School
Gabrielle Spankus is a dynamic setter as well as an outstanding right-side hitter. From the front row, she becomes a double threat to her opponents between her perfectly executed jump sets to her power swings cross-court. At her height, she is able to set up an impressive block with the middle player. Her strength lies in her athleticism to move around the court with ease and contact every second ball with clean hands. In 51 sets, she has accumulated 170 assists, 127 kills, and 42 aces.
Olivia Aniol – 5’11” – MH – East Lake High School
Olivia Aniol has been a top scorer for East Lake’s Varsity volleyball team since she was a freshman in 2018. As one of the team’s primary middle hitters, she is a dominant blocker and hitter along the net. She moves quickly to the outside for a block that some of the best hitters struggle to swing around. While Olivia can take a powerful swing from anywhere across the net, a fast, low middle set is her most successful swing against her opponents. Olivia has played in 218 sets and accumulated over 500 kills, nearly 75 solo blocks, and almost 200 total blocks.
